VERO BEACH – Susan Gromis has been named Executive Director of Main Street Vero Beach. Her background as a small business owner and experience in retail and customer service fits Main Street’s focus on community building. Sue also has extensive volunteer leadership experience in education-related causes in Rotary International. Sue is originally from Pennsylvania where she saw the redevelopment of Downtowns and the positive economic impact it has on the community. When she discovered Vero Beach 15 years ago her goal was to get involved in the community. “This position certainly fits the bill. Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive.”

Main Street Vero Beach is part of National Main Street and Florida Main Street administered by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Division of Historical Resources under the Florida Department of State. Along with Board President Elaine Jones, Sue recently attended Florida Main Street’s Quarterly Meeting in Tallahassee for technical assistance training.
