VERO BEACH — More than 100 guests recently gathered at John’s Island Club in Indian River Shores for Massachusetts General Hospital’s presentation of HEART TO HEART: A Conversation on Cardiac Health.

The event featured a lecture presentation, Q & A session, reception, and remarks by Dr. Brit Nicholson, Senior Vice President for Development at MGH; Dr. Duke Cameron, cardiac surgeon and co-director of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program at MGH; and, Dr. Malissa Wood, clinical cardiologist and staff physician in the Cardiac Ultrasound Laboratory at MGH. Dr. Nicholson gave the opening remarks and provided updates on various initiatives taking place at the hospital and Drs. Cameron and Wood spoke about the current landscape of cardiac care, from the latest research on preventing heart disease to the most cutting-edge intervention options.
