Treasure Coast Food Bank recently secured a donation of 90 breastfeeding kits for the maternal child services at Martin Health System. The kits, which included diapers, breastfeeding kits and supplies, nursing pads and bottles, were distributed to new mothers in need through the maternal child units at Martin Medical Center in Stuart and Tradition Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, as well as the organization’s mother baby home visitation program.

Judy Cruz, CEO of Treasure Coast Food Bank, facilitated the donation from Evenflo Feeding through the National Diaper Bank Network where she serves on the board of directors.

“At Treasure Coast Food Bank, we’re fully committed to strengthening the overall health of local families impacted by food insecurity,” Cruz said. “By partnering with Martin Health System, we can coordinate greater access to essential baby supplies to improve the physical, mental, and economic well-being of children, their parents and the community at large.”
